On August 4, 2026, the Ho Chi Minh City Management Authority for Urban Railways (MAUR) held a Contract Signing Ceremony on “Consultancy for the preparation of the Feasibility Study (FS) and Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) for the Urban Railway Line No. 2 Project (Thu Dau Mot City – Ho Chi Minh City)”.

This key transport infrastructure project will play an important role in strengthening connectivity between Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong Province, contributing to the gradual development of an inter-regional urban railway network, enhancing public transport capacity, and creating new momentum for socio-economic development in the Southern Key Economic Region.

Under the signed contract, the Consultant Consortium will carry out survey works, prepare the Feasibility Study (FS), and develop the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), providing the basis for subsequent investment preparation and project implementation stages.

The Consultant Consortium consists of Shenzhen Metro Group, Dat Viet Construction and Investment Consulting Joint Stock Company, Hung Nghiep Construction-Consulting Joint Stock Company, and IDECO Infrastructure Development Consulting Joint Stock Company. The collaboration between organizations with extensive international experience in urban railway development and leading domestic consulting firms provides a solid basis for ensuring project quality, timely implementation, and overall effectiveness.
